Campaigning intensified in poll bound Assam

Campaigning for the second phase of Assembly elections in Assam has reached feverish pitch. 61 constituencies spread over Lower and Central Assam will go to polls in this phase on the 11th of this month. A total of 525 candidates including 44 women are in fray for this phase.

leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters. BJP National President Amit Shah and Congress leader and Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi campaigned for their party candidates yesterday. Senior BJP leader and Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad will hold rallies today.
