Campaigning reaches its peak for assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh

The campaigning has reached its peak for the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh. Leaders of major political parties including BJP and Congress have intensified their campaign for the November 9 polls. 

Election department is also taking several steps for smooth conduct of polling. The process of distribution of election voter slips will begin today. The EVM and VVPAT machine has been also sent to Pangi and Kaza from its district headquarters Chamba and Lahaul-Spiti respectively. 

Perhaps it is the strictness and fear of election commission that different political parties are using flag,



banner and posters in very low number. Like earlier elections, the wall writings are also not seen on the rocks and other parts of the state. The social media has become one of the most powerful media in this election campaign. 

The BJP star campaigners are organizing big rallies while the Congress is focusing on small meetings. The Chief Minister is visiting every nook and corner while his entire cabinet colleagues have been cornered in their own constituencies. Interestingly some of these ministers project them as a candidate for the chief minister from time to time in the past.
