CBI conducts raids at residences of TMC MLA, councillors

CBI recovered and seized cash of about 28 lakhs rupees so far from the house of TMC MLA from Domkal, Jafikul Islam. The counting process is not over yet. Several documents were also seized. Corporation councillor Bappadittya Dasgupta and Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation councillor Debraj Chakraborty. 

CBI sources said, these raids were conducted in connection with school teachers’ recruitment scams and municipal recruitment scams. CBI also questioned people whose homes and offices were being raided.
