Gujarat Patidar leader Hardik Patel on Tuesday slammed those raising questions about his personal life after the sex CD scandal and said there were more pressing issues that needed to be addressed. Patel said he does not feel any need to answer questions about his personal life. “It is not of anyone’s concern if it is me in the CD. Why should I answer questions about my personal life?” The Patidar leader added that the CD was completely false and it was possible to tamper things easily in present times in exchange for money. “The CD is completely false, you give me Rs 2 crore and I can put (Vijay) Rupani’s face in the video,” Mr Patel said at a media event.

Hardik Patel once again accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of indulging in cheap politics and added he would be more careful from now onwards. “From now on, I will keep windows shut even when I take a bath,” Patel

said on a funny note. The PASS leader was embroiled in a massive controversy when two sex videos allegedly featuring him had gone viral on social media. The CDs were telecasted by several local channels causing a massive furore in Gujarat just ahead of assembly polls in the state.

Following the leak, the Patidar leader had accused BJP of morphing the video and stooping to a new low by insulting women of Gujarat. “Dirty politics has begun now. Defame me all you want, it makes no difference to me. But this is an insult to the women of Gujarat,” Patel had posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The first phase of assembly polls will be held in Gujarat on December 9. The campaigning is in full swing for the election with Opposition leaders leaving no stone unturned to defeat the BJP which has been in power in the state for past 22 years.
