Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat has said that Border confrontations and unprovoked military actions spiraling into a larger conflict can't be discounted.
Speaking at a webinar organized by the National Defence College today, he said, the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh remains tense and that China’s PLA is facing unanticipated consequences for its misadventures in Ladakh because of firm responses by Indian forces. General Rawat said, India's posturing is unambiguous and the country will not accept any shift in the Line of Actual Control. He said, as
India grows in stature, security challenges will also rise proportionately.
The Chief of Defense Staff declared that the nation must move out of the consistent danger of assents or reliance on singular countries for military prerequisites. He stated, the nation is putting resources into building long haul indigenous ability for key freedom to solidly address present and rising difficulties.
Alluding to Pakistan, he said the new Indian format to manage fear has infused vulnerability in the nation which was proceeding with its intermediary battle through cross-fringe dread.
