CEC Nasim Zaidi arrives in Puducherry to reveiw poll preparations

Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi arrived in Puducherry yesterday evening to review poll preparations in the Union Territory. He is accompanied by Election Commissioner Om Prakash Rawat and senior officials of the Commission. The team held discussions with Chief Electoral Officer and senior police officials. Chief Electoral Officer briefed the Commission of the arrangements



being done so far. 

The election commission team will hold discussions with representatives of Political Parties today. Later, the Commission will have discussions with Chief Secretary Manoj Parida and Inspector General of Police Praveer Ranjan. It will also interact with senior police and enforcement officers and review arrangements for a fair and free poll.
