Gurdaspur: Home Minister Amit Shah said the Central government is committed to eliminating drug menace in the country, especially in Punjab. He announced that an office of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will be opened in Amritsar within a month. 

Mr. Shah was addressing a public rally in Gurdaspur as part of the BJP's nationwide campaign on 9 Years of Sewa, Sushasan and Garib Kalyaan on Sunday. He said, State BJP



workers will begin a special campaign against the drug menace in every nook and corner of Punjab.
 
Amit Shah said the Union government has initiated several developmental projects in Punjab. He said, two lakh 21 thousand crore rupees have been given to the state from 2014 to 2023, whereas only 46 thousand crore rupees were provided during the ten years of Congress rule.
