A seven-member team formed by the central government is visiting flood-affected districts in Gujarat to survey the damage. After reaching Jamnagar yesterday, the team met with officials to gather information about relief assistance and assess the extent of crop and other damages.
Earlier, the team visited Vadodara, Kheda, Anand, and
Surendranagar districts and held meetings with officials and public representatives. During the meeting in Vadodara, the visiting officials assessed the damages in Vadodara city and nearby areas. Following this meeting, the inter-ministerial central team inspected the Ajwa Sarovar and the status of the Vishwamitri River.
