The Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, Swapnil Nila, has informed that to assist the devotees heading to the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Central Railway is operating 16 trains in the area, and the situation at all stations remains smooth. Addressing a press conference at the Central Railway headquarters in Mumbai, he urged citizens not to believe any rumours.
Mr. Nila added that, for the convenience of those travelling to the Kumbh Mela, Indian Railways has developed 8 railway stations around Prayagraj, and transport services at all these stations are running smoothly. Every day, around 20 special
and regular trains are being operated from Maharashtra to Prayagraj and the surrounding areas. The administration is closely monitoring the situation at these railway stations, and if the crowd increases, additional trains will be immediately dispatched. Nila also mentioned that, if necessary, the railway administration is ready to run more trains.
The DRM of Western Railway, Pankaj Singh, also made an appeal to commuters not to be influenced by any rumours. He added that help desks have been set up at various stations to address the concerns of the devotees.
