A Central team will visit Kochi in Kerala today to assess the damages caused by Cyclone Ockhi. The team is also scheduled to visit Alapuzha district in the coming days. 

The team led by Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Vipin Mallik yesterday assessed the damages in the worst hit Vizhinjam and Poonthura regions of



Thiruvanthapuram district. They made detailed discussion with the Chief Minister, state administration, district officials and the affected people.

After the four-day visit, the team will submit the detailed report on the damages caused by Cyclone Ockhi that devastated parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep earlier this month.
