The Central Government has decided to allocate 267 crore 35 lakh rupees to Kerala under Emergency COVID Response Package- II.

This fund will strengthen the state’s health infrastructure and effectively manage COVID. Other than this, one crore rupees will be made available for each district of the state for creating a medicine pool. 

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya reviewed the COVID-19 response in Kerala with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Kerala Health Minister Veena



George yesterday.

In a series of tweets, Mr Mandaviya said, Central Government has assured all possible help to Kerala, including providing vaccines to the State. The creation of a Center of Excellence that caters to Telemedicine Facilities in every district in Kerala was also envisaged with the support of the Centre. For prioritizing the health of children, pediatric ICU will be established in district hospitals with 10 kilo-liter liquid oxygen storage tank facility.
