Centre has requested all States and Union Territories to hold consultations within their States and provide their tentative comments on the National Education Policy document by 31st of this month.
Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said this while chairing the national workshop on 5- year vision document and national
education policy in New Delhi yesterday. He said, education is the foundation for making a new India which is competent, empowered and prosperous.
Mr Pokhriyal said, States and Union Territories run most of the schools and their involvement in the process of finalising the Vision document is very crucial.
