Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the Centre is committed to ensuring the country's coastal and maritime security.
Speaking at the 66th Birthday Celebrations of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi in Kollam in Kerala yesterday, he said that India will not let anyone who bothered them rest in peace while referring to the air-force strike in Balakot in response to the Pulwama attack.
He further said that striking back soon at any attack on the country shows the confidence of Indian armed
forces.
The Defence Minister added that the nation stands together with soldiers and their family and the country that does not remember the sacrifices of its soldiers is not respected anywhere in the world.
Mr Rajnath Singh distributed five lakh rupees, given by Amritanandamayi Matt, to the families of each of the 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers killed in the Pulwama attack.
Union Ministers Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Anurag Thakur also attended the function.
