Leh: Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Labour Minister Bhupendra Yadav has said that the centre is working on compassion based development. He said, the world is looking at India’s cultural ethos to follow the balance among peace, culture and harmony.

Addressed Sustainable Mountain Development Summit-XI in Leh yesterday, Mr Yadav appealed for environment friendly and mindful usage of natural resources. Minister assured to resolve apprehensions of locals on notifications on wildlife



sanctuaries in Ladakh.

The 4-Day Summit on Harnessing tourism for sustainable mountain development is being organized by the Integrated Mountain Initiative, IMI and Sustainable Development Forum of Ladakh in collaboration with the Union Territory Administration of Ladakh and Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh. Representatives from twelve states and Union Territories from the country's Himalayan region are participating in the summit.
