Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma yesterday said that the Centre will release the Aadhar card of over 9.35 lakh people of the state. Talking to newspersons in Guwahati, the Chief Minister said that between February and August 2019, the allotment process of Aadhar was stopped due to NRC biometric related



exercise in the state. 

Mr. Sarma said that he recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to appraise him on this issue.  He further mentioned that these 9.35 lakh people are likely to get  their cards within  15 to 30 days.
