Centre to take necessary steps for amendment of 6th schedule of Constitution: Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said the Centre will take necessary steps for amendment of 6th schedule of the Constitution to give provision for direct funding to Autonomous District Councils.

He also said that the matter will be placed before Parliament soon. Mr Singh said, BJP will always stand by the rights of the people, while upholding



secularism.

He further said the state of unity and integration has improved in the country under the rule of BJP government. He was addressing poll meetings and rallies in support of BJP candidates at three places in Mizoram.
