Amaravati: After calling him a “hollow man” a week ago, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday launched a fresh attack at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called him a “blackmailer”.

“Prime Minister Modi slaps cases on people who don’t have any cases against them and withdraw cases against people who do, get them bail and then blackmail them. He then asks them to come to him to negotiate. This is what he does,” Naidu said.

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister further said that the CBI was forced to slap a case against Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav. “The CBI director himself told that he was asked

to slap a case against RJD chief Lalu Yadav. These are the things that they (BJP) always do.”

Naidu had last week called Modi a “hollow man” who has “done nothing” for India. Accusing the Centre of “denying” special status to Andhra Pradesh against their promise in the Parliament, he said Modi made people believe that he had done “great things” in Gujarat when he was the chief minister for 12 years unlike what is the truth.

Naidu had earlier called the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre "more dangerous" than the Congress party, which was in power for two terms at the Centre before the BJP-led NDA came to power.
