Charu Sinha joined as first woman IGP of CRPF Southern Sector in Telangana

Hyderabad: On Thursday, Charu Sinha, a Telangana cadre IPS officer from the 1996 batch, joined as Inspector General of the CRPF Southern Sector at Jubilee Hills.

She took over from Mahesh Chandra Laddha, who was transferred to the CRPF Jammu Sector. She will hold the position of



IGP Southern Sector for the first time as a woman officer.

Charu Sinha previously held the position of IGP in the Jammu sector for about a year before being transferred to the Srinagar sector for two years and six months, completing a three-and-a-half-year stint in Jammu and Kashmir.
