Bengaluru: Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena was speaking after releasing the special postal first day cover on Karnataka Assembly election 2023 and an election awareness song composed by playback singer Vijay Prakash in Bengaluru yesterday.
 
Mr Meena said that every effort is being made to make voting a pleasant experience and the voters must make use of these facilities and come out and vote. He informed that cVIGIL and Suvidha app have received good response from people and vote from home has concluded successfully. 

The Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena has asked voters to download Chunavana mobile app to know the booth address and location, candidates details, voting time, booking of wheelchair, voters turnout, nearby hospital and police station and other such relevant details. The



district level Election offices have issued notices to the political parties to end their public campaign 48 hours before the Election Day.
 
The prohibitory orders will come into force from 6.00 pm on May 8th and will remain in place till May 10 until the election process ends. There will be a prohibition on gatherings of more than five persons, rallies and public meetings. No activities will be allowed within 100 metres of polling booths. No posters or other publicity materials will be allowed nearby. 

To instill confidence in people, a flag march was conducted around vulnerable and critical polling booths yesterday. The election officials and police officers took part in flag march in Chamrajpet and Rajarajeshwarinagar in Bengaluru yesterday.
