Supreme Court Chief Justice Dipak Misra has made public the roster of allocation of matters to judges. CJI has decided to keep the Public Interest Litigation cases against himself. The order was made public on the official website of the apex court yesterday.
The 13-page notification said a roster of the work for fresh cases notified under the order
of the CJI will come into effect from the 5th of this month till further orders.
The decision to make public the roster system assumes significance as four senior-most judges in their 12th January press conference had questioned the allocation of sensitive PILs and important cases to judges junior in seniority order.
