Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Friday, August 16, slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for remaining “silent” over the heinous rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata and “politicizing” the issue.
He said, “I am
surprised that such an incident occurred where there is a woman chief minister.”
This comes after the West Bengal CM, while commenting on the ransacking of the emergency room at RG Kar, accused the opposition parties, namely the CPI(M) and BJP, of conspiring to create unrest in the state.
