Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter Harshita Kejriwal fell prey to an online scam. According to police, Harshita was duped of Rs 34,000 by an online scammer when she was trying to sell a second-hand sofa on the popular sale-purchase online platform OLX.


The police said that Harshita had listed a used sofa on the online platform. When she finalised the deal with a person, he asked her to scan a bar code to transfer the agreed amount of sofa in her account. First, he transferred a small amount into her account to establish authenticity, but after



that debited Rs 34,000 in two installments - first Rs 20,000 and then Rs 14,000.


A complaint in his regard was filed at the Civil Lines Police Station near the CM residence. The police have filed a case of cheating and started looking for the accused.


Arvind Kejriwal has two kids; daughter Harshit Kejriwal and son Pulkit Kejriwal. Harshita made headlines in 2014 when she scored 96 per cent in Class 12 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams. Harshita has a chemical engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Delhi).
