Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched AP Purse mobile app featuring 13 mobile banking and 10 mobile wallet options, in Vijayawada yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, he said, people should choose mobile banking to overcome shortage of small currency. He said, people can pay their bills using the app and carry out their cashless transactions. 
Mr. Naidu said, the State government introduced cashless transactions at fair price shops and completed 70 per cent of transactions using Aadhaar linkage to provide relief to



people suffering from shortage of small currency. 
He said currently 2,472 crore rupees was available with the banks and the State will receive another 1,100 crore rupees shortly.The Chief Minister said, as a convener of the committee on post demonetisation crisis and digital transactions, he would head a meeting scheduled to be held at Mumbai tomorrow. 
Mr Naidu said, the mmeting will discuss the problems being faced by people for small currency and alternative measures to be adopted to ease the situation.
