CM Jagan condoles death of Gaddar

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed grief over the demise of Gaddar, revolutionary and balladeer. "Gaddar was the voice of the downtrodden and fought for social justice through his inspiring songs, the CM said and conveyed his grief to the bereaved family members.

Information minister SV Krishna expressed shock over the demise. He said Gaddar made the people's problems known through his voice.

Home minister Taneti Vanitha expressed her shock and prayed to God for the repose of his holy soul. "Gaddar stood by Dalit, tribal and other weaker sections throughout his life, Vanitha said and recalled that Gaddar's death was a major loss to the Telugu states and in special to the weaker sections," she said.

Telugu Desam chief Chandrababu Naidu expressed his deepest



condolences. "A chapter has closed in the public movements with the death of Gaddar and he will be remembered in the hearts of masses forever," Naidu said.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said he could not believe that the public singer Gaddar has passed away. "A few days ago, I went to visit him when he was hospitalised due to illness. Gaddar talked about the current situation in the Telugu states and about many national and international issues. The Chaitanya song 'Bandenaka Bandi Katti Padaharu Ballu Katti' which he sang in the movie 'Maa Bhoomi' is eternal."

TD state president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, MLA and cine actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, state BRS president Thotha Chandrasekhar, CPI state secretary Ramakrishna and other leaders condoled the death of Gaddar.
