Vijayawada: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy celebrated New Year 2024 at the camp office in Tadepalli with higher officials, leaders and legislators, who queued up to greet the CM.
Several ministers and senior officials called on the chief minister and conveyed their New Year greetings to him. The chief minister cut the New Year cake in their presence.
Chief secretary Jawahar Reddy, DGP Rajendranath Reddy, special chief secretary Sri Lakshmi, senior officials of the CMO and people’s representatives greeted him.
On the occasion, Vedic pundits and archakas of TTD and Sri Durga Malleswara Swamivarla Devasthanam blessed the CM by reciting religious hymns and handed over to him the Sesha Vastram, prasadam, temple calendars and diaries.
State legislative council chairman Koyye Moshen Raju cut the cake with the staff at the Velagapudi state assembly building on Monday. Assembly secretary General Ramacharyulu, deputy secretary Vijayarama Rao and other officers and staff participated in this programme.

Vedic scholars of TTD offered Vedic blessings to the Swami and handed over Swami's white robe, Teertha Prasadam, calendar and diary. Later, Jawahar Reddy distributed sweets to the children of Vijayawada Center for Mentally Handicapped.
Representatives of various trade unions led by the JAC president of the state trade unions Bopparaju Venkateswarlu presented flower bouquets to Jawahar Reddy.
Special chief secretaries K Vijayanand, SS Rawat, Gopalakrishna Dwivedi and B Rajasekhar, chief secretaries K Sunitha, G Jayalakshmi and Chiranjeevi Chaudhary, other secretaries, NTR District Collector Dilli Rao and others congratulated Jawahar Reddy.
Additional DGP, S Bagchi, and top officials N Yuvraj, Girija Shankar, Satya Prabhakar, Hari Jawahar Lal, Pola Bhaskar and Gandham Chandradu, West Godavari collector P Prashanthi and APNGO association president Bandi Srinivasa Rao also wished CS a Happy New Year.
