Anantapur: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will file his nomination from the Pulivendula Assembly constituency in Kadapa district on Thursday. A set of nomination papers have already been filed on behalf of Jagan Mohan Reddy by Pulivendula municipal vice chairman Y.S. Manohar Reddy. Party sources said the CM will file his second set of nomination papers at the Pulivendula tahsildar office on Thursday.

Party leaders from Pulivendula and Kadapa district have made necessary arrangements for the occasion. Huge crowds of party leaders and cadres will be present when the YSRC chief arrives to file his nomination. Sources said Jagan Mohan Reddy will arrive at Idupulapaya to pay his tributes at the Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Ghat. He will then proceed in a procession towards Pulivendula to file his nomination.

Expecting huge crowds during



the filing of nomination by CM, police are making necessary security arrangements at Pulivendula and Idupulapaya. Police have provided additional security to Dastagiri, who is an approver in former MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case. He has lodged a complaint with police about the threat he faces from the YSRC leaders. Dastagiri, who has announced that he will contest from Pulivendula as a candidate of Jai Bheem Party, has complained to the Election Commission that YSRC leaders are creating hurdles to prevent him from filing his nomination papers. 

Dastagiri is expected to file his nomination papers with additional security on Thursday. TD candidate B. Tech Ravi has filed his nomination papers from Pulivendula. In addition, five nominations from various parties have been filed in Pulivendula till Wednesday.
