Vijayawada: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit the Kanaka Durga Temple on Oct 20, Friday, to offer silk robes to Goddess Durga as part of the Dasara festivities. The day marks the auspicious Moolam Nakshatram.
The government is providing best services to the devotees in Durga temple without any flaws. The CM would offer the silk robes to the goddess at 3 pm, he said.
The chief minister has advised the temple authorities and the district administration that the queue lines should not be stopped during his visit to the temple. However, the minister Antarayalya Darshanam to VVIPs and VIPs were cancelled on Moola Nakshatram day, the minister said.
On the fourth day of the Dasara Sarannavaratri festivities, on Wednesday, Durga appeared as Sri Maha Lakshmi Devi Alankaram and blessed the devotees. During the festival time, there has been a huge rush of devotees for three hours in the morning and evening. The authorities provided them with darshan within an hour.
Endowment minister Kottu Satyanarayana, NTR district collector Dilli Rao, NTR police commissioner KR Tata and Durga temple executive officer Rama Rao continuously monitored the situation. Ministers Venugopala Krishna and Ushasri Charan visited the Durga temple and offered pujas.
Minister Satyanarayana and collector Dilli Rao interacted with the devotees. They resolved some of the issues on the spot. They had Anna Prasadam along with the devotees.
