Vijayawada: The hiked social security pensions under the NTR Bharosa would be released to 65,18,496 beneficiaries in AP from 6 am on July 1, as was promised by the alliance government in the state. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, ministers and legislators of NDA will participate in the events. The chief minister will launch the pension distribution by presenting the pension amount to some ST beneficiaries at their homes in Penumaka of Amaravati on Monday.
Notably, YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had launched the Amma Vodi under the flagship Navaratnalu social welfare scheme from Penumaka in Amaravati, after assuming charge as chief minister in 2019. Now, Chief Minister Naidu is launching the NTR Bharosa enhanced pension scheme from the same Penumaka. According to the schedule, CM Naidu will start from his residence in Undavalli at 5.45 am for Penumaka. He would launch the NTR Bharosa enhanced pension distribution in the ST Colony in Penumaka village by presenting hiked pensions to ST woman pension beneficiary Islavath Sai and her father Banavath Pamulu at their house.
Later, Naidu would reach Prajavedika at the Masjid centre in Penumaka and interact with the villagers. He would address the public during the interaction programme and stress that he was implementing his promises within 20 days of assuming power. DyCM Pawan Kalyan will
lead the pension distribution programme in Gollaprolu village in Kakinada district on Monday. Health minister and BJP leader Satya Kumar Yadav will lead the programme in Velpumadugu village of Battalapalli mandal in Dharmavaram mandal. He would also participate in the NTR Bharosa pension programmes in other villages.
In an innovative act, the alliance government would issue receipts for the NTR Bharosa pension to the beneficiaries during the distribution of pensions. The name of the beneficiary, the pension ID, pension amount, village/ward secretariat, mandal and district details will be given on the receipts. State TD president Palla Srinivasa Rao said village secretariat staff would distribute the pensions in all villages and wards from 6 am on Monday. All TD leaders like presidents of mandal, town, divisions, clusters and units and booth and section incharges and other leaders were instructed to accompany secretariat staff and visit every house during the distribution process.
Chief secretary, Neerabh Prasad said the NTR Bharosa Pension will be distributed to 65,18,496 beneficiaries across the state on Monday. A sum of `4,399.89 crore was released for the distribution to 65,18,496 beneficiaries. District collectors have been directed to issue appropriate orders to MPDO and municipal commissioners.
