CM Sonowal urges on proper implementation of Panchayati raj system

Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal discussed with senior officials on setting the target of construction of four lakh houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojna in the current fiscal year. A press release issued last night said that he reviewed the different schemes that are being implemented in the state with State Rural Development minister and senior officials in Guwahati. Assam. 

In another meeting with senior officials of the North East Frontier railways, the Chief Minister appealed railways to appoint youth of North East in Grade three and Grade four vacant posts. He also asked railways to complete the doubling of track from Lumding to Guwahati as soon as possible. North East Frontier Railway officials said that electrification of railways from Katihar to Bongaigaon stretch will be completed by March 2018.
