New Delhi: India Meteorological Department has forecast that dense fog and cold wave conditions will continue to prevail in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the coming days. R K Jenamani said that cold wave condition will continue to sweep Rajasthan also. For Delhi, he predicted further drop in temperature and a fresh spell of cold wave on 3rd of January.
Mr. Jenamani said, very dense fog was witnessed in Northern parts of the country today particularly in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh which led to the disruptions of
train and flight service.
National Capital yesterday witnessed shallow fog in the morning and clear sky thereafter. The maximum temperature was recorded 21.1 degree Celsius which is one degree above normal while the minimum settled at 5.5 degree Celsius two notches below normal. The weatherman has predicted mainly clear sky with moderate to dense fog in the morning hours. Today the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi would be hovering around 20 and 6 degree Celsius.
