Combined force of Manipur Police, Para Military Force and Army conducts mass combing operation in Imphal

In Manipur, a combined force of Manipur Police, Para Military Force and Army conducted mass combing operation in Imphal East district and recovered huge number of arms, ammunitions and other equipments.

A press release of Manipur Police Control Room said last evening that the security forces conducted search operation in Wakan, Shantipur and Khamenlok ridges of Imphal East district. During the operation, 36 sophisticated arms including AK-47, AK-56, UBGL, Carbine Machine Gun, SLR, .303 Rifle, MP-5,



Lathode Launcher, Pistol were recovered along with ammunition and explosives. The team also recovered 132 numbers of equipments like BP jacket, Tube Launching, empty magazine, shoes, belt and other from the spot.

The release said that the security forces will continued search operations in both hills and valley districts of the State. It also appealed public to restraint from violence and said that arms violence will not bring peace and resolution in Manipur
