The Bharatiya Janata Party has today announced Dr Santuk Hambarde as its candidate for the upcoming Nanded Lok Sabha by-election. Meanwhile, the Congress party has fielded Dr. Ravindra Chavan as their candidate. This by-election was necessitated by the passing of MP Vasant Chavan on August 26. Voting for the Nanded Lok Sabha by-election is scheduled for the 20th of November, with the Nanded Assembly



elections.

In preparation for elections, several voter awareness activities are being organized by the  Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation, SVEEP programme. Additionally, other awareness activities such as Prabhat Pheris (morning processions) and rallies are being held to promote voter participation.
