Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demands that Congress President Rahul Gandhi accepts the truth that he said that Congress party belonged to Muslims. Javadekar questioned as to why the Congress scion had become silent on the issue when he himself had said the same. He further argued stating that Congress’ appeasement policy has damaged the country and that the history of partition is a testimony of the same policy followed by it since long.

He also said that Congress had changed tracks and is now denying the statements made by them earlier. It is alleging that BJP is spreading false propaganda which is highly condemnable.

Javadekar also responded to Congress leader Shashi Tharoor’s statement of ‘Hindu Pakistan’ saying the party does not have an inkling of the country’s ethos, which is known for its plurality and

diversity.

Javadekar came out in support of PM Modi’s statement made on ‘Muslim Party’ and argued that the Prime Minister did nothing wrong but question Congress saying if it’s a party for Muslims, which it claims and is actually the truth, why isn’t it supporting Muslim women. He further said that Congress opposing ‘triple talaq’ shows the party’s double standards and the kind of politics it’s playing.

He further said that Congress indulges in communal politics and gave examples of the communal riots which took place during its regime. He added that the ‘Shah Bano’ case is a typical case which shows the Congress’ mindset. Javadekar further reiterated that Congress is the worst the ‘communal party’. Taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi, Javadekar said that Gandhi labeling themselves as Muslim party was unconstitutional and against the spirit of democracy.
