Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi To File His Nomination Papers today

Congress leader and sitting MP of Wayanad Parliamentary constituency Rahul Gandhi will file his nomination papers today. He will lead a roadshow from the bus stand premises at Kalpetta,  and will be accompanied by party General Secretaries Priyanka Gandhi, K C Venugopal and other leaders. LDF candidate, Annie Raja of the CPI will also submit her nomination papers today.

NDA candidate and State President of the BJP,  K Surendran, who is also contesting from the constituency, will file his nomination



papers tomorrow.

The constituency will witness a triangular fight involving UDF, LDF and NDA candidates. Kerala is among the 12 states / Union Territories going to the polls in the second phase, where polling is scheduled to take place on the 26th of this month.

Tomorrow is the last date for filing nominations. The scrutiny will take place on the 5th and the last date for the withdrawal of candidature is on the 8th of this month.
