New Delhi: The Congress has said, the results of the Assembly Elections are opposite to the hope of the party. Briefing media in New Delhi yesterday, party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, it was expected that Congress will perform better in Uttrakhand, Goa and Punjab, but party has failed to get the clear mandate of the people.
Talking about the result of Punjab, Mr. Surjewala said, the people have given their vote for
change in the State. He gave his best wishes to the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal. On the poll result in Uttar Pradesh, he said, Congress has become successful in reviving the party at ground level, but failed to get votes. He said, party fought hard in Uttarakhand and Goa, but failed to get the clear mandate. He said, Congress will learn from this verdict and continue to work at the field level.
