All India Congress Committee has suspended membership of Congress leader Rajesh Joon for a period of six years for being involved in anti-party activities. Mr. Rajesh Joon is contesting the assembly election as an independent candidate from Bahadurgarh constituency.

In the letter issued by K C Venugopal, General Secretary of the AICC, it is said that the party leadership has



received multiple reports from congress workers and candidates of the Bahadurgarh Assembly constituency regarding the involvement of Mr. Rajesh Joon in activities contrary to the party’s interests, specifically his participation as an independent candidate against the Congress candidate, which constitutes a violation of the party’s policy.
