Hundreds of Congress workers on Sunday held a protest outside the party's headquarters in New Delhi, demanding that local candidates for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections be given party tickets.
The agitating Congress workers alleged that the
daughter and the son-in-law of state party chief Uday Bhan were being given tickets, violating party rules. They said that if the party persisted with them, then the 38 of the 42 members who applied for a party ticket would field their own independent candidates in the polls.
