Counting of votes has begun for Haryana's Jind and Rajasthan's Ramgarh Assembly constituencies. It began at 8 this morning. Voting on both the seats took place on Monday, with Jind recording over 75 per cent voter turnout, and Ramgarh, around 79 per cent.

The by-poll in Jind was

necessitated due to the death of Indian National Lok Dal MLA Hari Chand Middha in August last year. The election to the Ramgarh seat was withheld during the Assembly polls in the state last month following the death of BSP candidate Laxman Singh.
