The Bihar government on Thursday extended the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown across the state for 10 days till May 25 to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
“Reviewed the lockdown in Bihar with colleagues in the council of ministers and officials. The positive outcome
of the lockdown is evident. Hence, a decision has been taken to extend the lockdown by another 10 days, from May 16 to 25,” Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said in a tweet in Hindi.
This comes a day after the state recorded 9,863 fresh Covid-19 cases and 74 related deaths.
