CWC strongly condemns Pahalgam terror attack masterminded by Pakistan

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) has strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack during its meeting held in New Delhi yesterday. Addressing the media following the meeting, Congress General Secretary Venugopal said that during the meeting, CWC remarked that this cowardly and calculated act of terror, masterminded by Pakistan, is a direct assault on the values of the country’s Republic. 

Mr Venugoal added that the deliberate targeting of Hindus was done to inflame passions across the



country. He said that the CWC appealed for calm and reaffirmed its collective strength in the face of adversity. The meeting also noted that the Amarnath Yatra is set to commence shortly. Lakhs of pilgrims from across India participate in this annual journey, and their safety must be treated as a national priority. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, senior party leader Rahul Gandhi and all other CWC members attended the meeting.
