Cyclone Maha likely to bring rainfall to South Gujarat

Cyclone Maha is likely to bring heavy rainfall in the south Gujarat region, including coastal belt of Saurashtra from 6th November onwards.

Meteorological Centre Director Jayanta Sarkar said, Maha is very likely to move west-northwestwards from today till 4th November and recurve east-northeastwards towards south Gujarat coast,



thereafter.

Cyclone effect was seen on several parts of Saurashtra coast yesterday and coastal parts of Amreli such as Pipalav, Jafarabad received rainfall. Sea is getting rough and fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea following the rising sea levels.
