Cyclone Phethai makes landfall in Andhra Pradesh

The Deep Depression over Coastal Andhra Pradesh moved nearly northwards with a speed of 11 km per hour. It has weakened into a depression and lay centred at about 20 km north-northwest of Tuni. 

Met department said it is likely to



move north-north-eastwards and further weaken into a well marked low pressure area. Cyclone 'Phethai' wrecked havoc in East Godavari district causing huge losses to standing crops when it made land fall yesterday.
