The deep depression continues to be stationed in the same place about 100km of Srilanka, 320 km from Nagapattinam, 410 km east of Puducherry and 490 km of Chennai in the Bay of Bengal.

In the past 24 hours, light rainfall has been recorded in most of the Coastal areas of Tamil Nadu.

The Cyclone signal number three continues to be hoisted owing to the system prevailing in the Bay of



Bengal.

According to the announcement by the Met department, the deep depression is likely to cross North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Coast on Saturday.

The Coast Guard has been alerted and kept ready to prevent eventualities near the shore.

The sea remains boisterous with huge waves and strong winds. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till 2nd December.
