Date for elections to Delhi municipal corporations postponed by day to April 23

The date for the elections to three municipal corporations in Delhi has been postponed by a day to the 23rd of next month in view of board examinations. The counting of votes will now be held on the 26th. 

Talking to a news agency, State Election Commissioner SK Srivastava said, dates for all other poll processes,



including for nominations, remain unchanged.

As per earlier schedule, the nomination process will begin from 27th of this month and 3rd of next month would be the last date for filing nominations. The last date for withdrawal of nomination for 272 wards municipal elections is 8th of next month.
