The death toll in the Bhiwandi building collapse in Thane District of Maharashtra rose to 33, after more bodies were found under the rubble late last night. While 25 others were safely rescued from the rubble. The ill-fated Jilani building located at Narpoli's Patel Compound had collapsed in the wee hours of



Monday.

Following the tragic incident, the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation has vacated two buildings located in its vicinity. These buildings had earlier been declared dangerous by the civic body. Office superintendent for a local civic ward, Laxman Kokni said a decision to raze these buildings will be taken later.
