A depression has formed in Bay of Bengal over Central and adjoining southeast of the sea, and has moved further east-northeastwards with a speed of about 10 kmph in the last 6 hours and is presently lay centred at about 400 km west­northwest of Port Blair and 750 km west­-southwest of Yangon in Myanmar. 
According to the Met Department, the system is most likely to intensify into deep depression during next 24 hours and into a cyclonic storm during the



subsequent 24 hours. It is expected to move east northeastwards and reach near Myanmar coast by tomorrow.Under its influence rainfall at many places is likely to occur over Andaman Islands during the next 48 hours. 
Squally winds with a speed ranging between 45-55 kmph and 65 kmph would blow over Andaman Islands and adjoining sea areas during the same period with sea condition very likely to be rough to very rough along and off the Islands.
