Deepavali being celebrated in Tamil Nadu today

Festival of light Deepawali is being celebrated in Tamil Nadu today with traditional fervor and gaiety.

Several leaders including the state Governor, Chief Minister and other political leaders have extended greetings to the people on the

occasion.

People took the traditional sesame oil bath early this morning and visited temples, clad in new clothes, and offered special pujas. Deepavali will be celebrated in other parts of the country tomorrow.
