Jhansi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the three-day ‘Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv’ today in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. This is part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav’ celebrations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate several new initiatives of the Ministry of defence to the nation in a grand ceremony being organised in the precincts of Jhansi Fort on Friday, which also is the birth anniversary of Rani Lakshmi Bai.
Rani Lakshmi Bai is the epitome of bravery and courage and a great national icon of Rashtra Raksha and India’s Independence struggle.
During the
parv, initiatives such as setting up of 100 new Sainik Schools; launch of NCC Border and Coastal Scheme, NCC Alumni Association and national programme of Simulation Training for NCC cadets will be kicked off by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Foundation stone of 400 crore rupees project of Bharat Dynamics Ltd at Jhansi node of UP Defence Industrial Corridor will also be laid. Besides, there will be a launch of National War Memorial, mobile app. On the 19th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also hand over indigenously developed Light Combat Helicopter and drones to the Armed Forces.
