Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will embark on a two-nation tour of Japan and South Korea on the 2nd of September.
As part of his visit to Japan, the Minister will co-chair the Annual Defence Ministerial Dialogue with his Japanese counterpart Takeshi Iwaya.
The Ministerial Dialogue will aim to further strengthen India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership and include wide-ranging discussions to enhance the bilateral defence and security engagements between the two countries. Mr Singh will also call on Japanese Prime Minister
Shinzo Abe.
In the second leg of his tour, Mr Singh will visit South Korea on the 5th of September. He will have a bilateral dialogue with Minister of National Defence Jeong Kyeong Doo. He will also call on South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak - Yon.
A CEO's Forum followed by a Business-to-Government meeting will also be held in Seoul with the participation of members of the Defence Industry from both sides with the aim to encourage India - South Korea Defence Industry co-operation.
