Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar will jointly campaign in Delhi on February 2 for the assembly poll to be held next month.
Sources, privy to the development, have told media that Nitish Kumar and Amit Shah will campaign at a joint rally in Delhi's Burari on February 2.
BJP national president JP Nadda and Nitish Kumar will also campaign together for the Delhi Assembly poll. The two will also campaign on February 2 at a rally in Sangam Vihar. The second rally will be held around 4 pm.
The BJP had allotted two seats to the JD(U) in Delhi. Following the development, JD(U) had said it reminded him of the "old NDA" of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani when the
BJP and its allies fought elections together.
The BJP list of "star campaigners" for the election includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari, and chief ministers of the party-ruled states, besides Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The list also mentions Bhojpuri film stars Ravi Kishan and Dinesh Lal 'Nirahua', who will campaign in constituencies having a sizeable number of Purvanchali voters.
Voting for Delhi Assembly elections will be held on February 8 and results will be out on February 11. BJP is contesting on 67 seats and has left two seats to JD(U) and one for LJP, its alliance partners in Delhi Assembly poll.
